AI-Skilled HR Management:
Strategies & Skills for Immediate Adoption
Moving from Simple AI Queries to Custom Workplace Workflows

Are you already using AI to brainstorm ideas, draft basic emails, or search for information? It’s time to move past the basics. In this in-person 90-minute masterclass, you will transition from a passive AI user to an advanced AI builder who is advancing both HR practice and business outcomes. Gain knowledge and skill for using professional judgment and responsible AI practices in HR decision-making.

Designed for people managers and HR professionals, this session works through one realistic HR example from start to finish such as a policy draft that sounds like your handbook, a leadership report built from anonymized HR data that follows the format and tone of your past reports, and a reusable AI assistant built live in the room. You will leave with a blueprint you can put to work at your desk before the day is over. Strengthen your professional judgement while protecting sensitive information and enhancing organizational decision-making.

Key Takeaways:

  • Beyond the Prompt: Give AI the context it needs (your role, your audience, your goal, and a sample of your handbook's tone) to produce HR documents that sound like your company.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Summarize anonymized HR data, such as hiring metrics and exit interview themes, into a report for leadership that matches the tone and format of your past reports, with every figure checked against the source.
  • Custom AI Tooling: Watch a reusable AI assistant get built live, then learn how to set up your own with your handbook and guidelines so you stop starting from scratch.
  • Governance: Catch invented facts and bias before they reach a decision, and know what employee information never goes into an AI tool. Learn principles to manage responsible AI use in HR, including validation of outputs, bias identification, confidentiality protections, and appropriate handling of employee information.

Objectives: By the end of this 90-minute session, participants will be able to

  1. Construct a multi-step AI prompt demonstrating analytical acumen that gives role, audience, goal, format, and an example of company tone to draft an HR policy aligned with organizational policy.
  2. Use AI to summarize anonymized HR data for executive leaders, and verify each figure and theme against the source.
  3. Design a reusable AI assistant set up with their organization's handbook and guidelines for a recurring HR task.
  4. Evaluate AI-generated output for invented facts that reduce accuracy, bias, and data-privacy risks, and organizational policy compliance before using it in HR decision-making.
