Ballot Measure 1 was approved in 2024. In addition to a minimum wage increase, employers who do not already have a paid time off policy that meets the elements of the ballot measure will be required to provide paid sick leave beginning July 1, 2025 . If an employer has 15 or more employees, each employee can accrue up to 56 hours of paid sick leave per year. If the employer has fewer than 15 employees, each employee can accrue up to 40 hours of paid sick leave per year.

Join us on Friday March 21 at 11:30 am as we visit with the State of Alaska Department of Labor & Workforce Development to review the changes and discuss DOL Guidance and Payroll.  DOL will be represented by Kenneth Fahle and Argjend Sadiku who address how the changes affect work processes in HR, payroll, and more!
