Mental Health and Well-being
in the Workplace: AM I OK?

In today's fragmented and fast-paced work environment, mental health has become a critical concern. This interactive session will delve into common mental health challenges such as stress, deadline pressure, burnout, and anxiety, and equip you with the tools to recognize early warning signs in yourself and colleagues. We'll explore the profound impact that mental health can have on employee performance and productivity, and how addressing these issues leads to a healthier and more effective workforce.

You'll also gain an understanding of the relationship between today's concept of mental health and overall well-being, learning strategies for promoting mental wellness within your team. The session will provide at least three local resources to help manage stress, build resilience, and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Through open discussions, we will also examine how to create a supportive, non-judgmental work environment where employees feel comfortable addressing mental health concerns. Being able to support mental health by encouraging civility and belonging in the company culture will be the goal of this presentation.

At the conclusion of this presentation, you will be able to:

  • List common health challenges in the workplace and how to recognize early warning signs
  • Explore the impact of mental health on employee performance and productivity
  • Relate the concepts of mental health and mental well-being
  • Equip you with at least three local resources for managing stress, building resilience, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance
  • Discuss strategies for promoting mental well-being in the workplace such as promoting open, non-judgmental communication about mental health concerns
