EXECUTIVE PRESENCE

Join us for our monthly program. Learn and get pre-approved SHRM and HRCI credit!

Executive Presence describes the hallmark characteristics of those at the highest levels of leadership, things like charisma, confidence, self-awareness, and communication. While it seems that some people are born to be executives and appear to embody these characteristics with ease, the real truth is that executive presence describes the collection of traits and skills learned and forged through years of experience. Skills that can indeed be learned, and in their absence, leaders falter and fail to inspire confidence. Executive presence skills aren’t just for executives and in fact, the sooner you hone some of these skills for yourself, the more successful you will be as a teammate and a leader.

At the end of this presentation, attendees will:

  1. Recognize and address emotions in the moment
  2. Learn tools for giving and receiving meaningful feedback
  3. Understand the basis for building trusting relationships
  4. Have the framework for creating psychological safety in teams

SHRM and HRCI credit pending (1 hour)
This event is co-hosted by Anchorage Society for Human Resource Management (ASHRM) and WBU SHRM Student Chapter #5583. Session will be in-person and by Zoom for those who cannot be present to meet this guest from Oregon.
