Elizabeth P. Hodes, Partner,

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP

This program is pre-approved for 1 SHRM PDC & HRCI Business Credit

Be sure to start the year right with this informative and timely program!

This presentation will address:

  • Covid Protocol Compliance – with new variants and partially-vaccinated workplaces, understand ongoing legal risks associated with protocols, testing requirements, and vaccine mandates;
  • Managing Leave and Recruiting Challenges – strategies to more confidently manage teams and improve efficiency without amplifying risk factors;
  • What to Expect from Government Mandates – be prepared but not distracted by injunctions and legal fights over vaccine mandates (federal contractor rules, OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard, CMS mandate for healthcare).

Elizabeth (Liz) Hodes is an attorney and Partner in Charge of the Alaska office of Davis Wright Tremaine. Liz’s practice focuses on employment work, litigation, and health care. In addition to her litigation experience at the trial and appellate level, Liz works with Alaska's diverse group of employers at the Board level and throughout an organization, providing advice and counsel on all types of personnel matters and employment-related legal challenges. She counsels employers on how to prevent workplace disputes and comply with laws governing hiring and terminations, leaves of absence, health and safety, harassment and discrimination, payment of wages and overtime, personnel policies, and a wide array of other employment issues. She also helps employers protect their business and goodwill by enforcing non-compete agreements and defending breach of contract, retaliation, wrongful discharge and other employment-related claims. For her corporate clients, Liz litigates disputes related to corporate governance, unfair trade practices, and other issues. As President of the Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers, Liz enjoys working with other members of the Bar to promote gender equality and increase leadership roles for women in the legal profession, judiciary, and community at large.
