Creating Racism-Free Workplaces
This program is pre-approved for 1 SHRM PDC & HRCI General Credit
Justin Zagorski,
Racism. If we don’t talk about it, will it go away? Is racial colorblindness the solution? What is your role in ending racism? These questions cannot be avoided if increased diversity and inclusion are commitments of our organizations. Racism is still persistent and pervasive, in our lives, our organizations, and throughout our country. As Human Resources professionals, you all have a unique opportunity to effect positive change, to create a company culture where all people feel they belong and matter. This session intends to be a launching pad for a deep exploration of individual and collective unconscious racial biases, the powerful forces that fuel racism in 2020. Come prepared to grapple with racial dynamics and innovate solutions to ending racism in our organizations.
Justin Zagorski is an activist, educator and social justice consultant who specializes in conducting anti-racism workshops.
